Your Questions About Varicose Veins Treatment Cost

Mark asks…

varicose and spider vein treatment cost?

Does anybody knows cost of treatment approximate’”from-to”?Both legs. And could you suggest best places to do this? What about insurance coverage?

Rene Heasman answers:

Get your varicose veins treatment in India.Varicose veins Surgery is very cheap in India.(whether its phlebotomy , sclerotherapy, vein stripping, or by the latest elves laser and other types of surgery also)There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges varicose veins surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as all types of surgery is not covered by insurance.

They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your varicose veins surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My aunt got her varicose veins surgery by elves laser in India through the forerunners healthcare and is very happy with the cosmetic results as veins are not visible now.She just paid 50%of the amount including her airfare of what she was quoted in USA

Susan asks…

have u heard/used the varicose vein treatment called vnus – the closure?

i was told there is only 7 or 9 places in the country that does this procedure. my hubby is 34 yrs old and the doc said he has legs of a 60 yr old. they want to do 8 surgerys whereas most ppl have like 3 or 4 done. he did have a clot bout 3 yrs ago from 1 of those veins. he’s NEVER been on anistesia and he has sleep aptnea (sp?). the doc said his vein has pretty much made a duplicate of theirselves. the vein in the back calve has branches coming off and they are leaking, this is in both legs. this procedure is where they insert a catheter into the vein, it delivers radiofrequency, remove the cath and the vein colapes causing the blood to reroute to healthy veins. just 2 veins to be worked on cost over 16,000.00.
my concerns are that this procedure seems to be kinda new and i can’t find much info or results on the web.
have u had this done or know of anyone who has? what was the experience, good and bad?
it’s scary cuz he’s never been put 2 sleep, has sleep probs and had a clot b4..

Rene Heasman answers:

I had the vnus closure done 3 days ago where I live in Maryland. It lasted only 30 minutes and was over fast. They put iodine all over my leg and then sprayed a numbing spray on it before they numbed it with a needle. They made a few small incisions (very small) and closed the leaky vein. I go back in two weeks for a ambulatory phlebectomy where they remove the old veins. That procedure is also very fast and should be painless. It is covered under most insurance policies because it is considered medical.

Richard asks…

Varicose/Spider veins and EVLT or Sclerotherapy.?

I have some minor varicose veins, but they are emerging quickly. To find out how much the more recent treatments cost yo must have a consultation (and most likely pay for a consultation too). I was just wondering what kind of ball park amount I can estimate for the removal of veins. Thanks a lot:)

Rene Heasman answers:

I dunno but I wish I didn’t have varicose veins either and i’m only 25. My doctor doesn’t advise removing them because she said you’re kinda screwed if you need emergency surgery and need the vein for use in another part of your body.
